Jesica Duarte joined PetSmart in 2025 as Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer. In this role, she oversees the merchandising, proprietary brands, merchandise planning & allocation, digital and marketing organizations. 

Prior to joining PetSmart, she served as Group Vice President, National Merchandising for the Albertsons Company, after nearly twelve years with Walmart where she held various leadership roles.

First Job: Jesica’s first job was as a part-time sales associate at a department store in the toy department at age of 15 and working during the holiday season showed her early on how important it was to surprise & delight the customer.

Education: She attended the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile where she earned her bachelor’s degree in business and economics and completed her Master of Business Administration from Georgetown University.

Hobbies: Jesica enjoys spending quality time with her husband, two daughters and their pets – Baby the Bernedoodle, and their cats, Boots and Bonita. The family loves to travel together and take RV adventures exploring different places. As a native Chilean, she is a passionate advocate for the Hispanic community.
