Voluntary Recall of Beneful Wet Dog Food 283g Tubs in Canada Stores
Dear Valued PetSmart® Customer,
Nestle Purina has issued a voluntary recall on select lot codes of the following nine varieties of:
Beneful Prepared Meals Wet Dog Food in 283g tubs
Beneful Chopped Blends Wet Dog Food in 283g tubs
The voluntary recall is a precautionary action due to insufficient levels of certain added vitamins and minerals and affects only the listed product with a “Best Before” date between JUN 2017 and AUG 2017. No other Purina products or sizes are impacted by this issue and Purina is not aware of any dogs becoming ill from these products.
The Best Before date is found on the bottom of the tub, as shown in this picture:
Please stop feeding these products to your pet and bring any remaining tubs affected by this recall to your nearest PetSmart for a full refund. We recommend Cesar wet dog foods as alternate options until these products are once again available.
