Gemma, a senior dog rescued at 11 years old, had issues with other dogs that made her adoptive mom concerned about her ability to stay in her new home. Determined to give Gemma the best possible chance for a happy life, her mom contacted PetSmart to provide Gemma with as much enrichment as possible in her remaining years.
Gemma’s mom enrolled her in private classes with Jasmine, a dedicated pet trainer at Store 3207. Together, they worked tirelessly to counter-condition Gemma’s insecurity around other dogs and transform it into a positive experience. After about three sessions, Jasmine and Gemma’s mom agreed that Gemma was ready to join an Intermediate group class.
Gemma excelled in the class, and they had never seen her so happy. Thanks to Jasmine’s training and dedication, Gemma now has a better chance of staying with her adoptive family, enjoying a fulfilling and loving life.
